Only if they are not neutered before puberty. That jolt of testosterone can cause them to become little macho men who want to claim their territory by peeing all over it.  

Early neutering prevents this hormonal change and allows them to stay more puppy-like for the duration of their lives. They will be noticeable sweeter, more docile, and even have softer fur than their female counterparts who may have to have their first heat before they can be safely spayed.
