Alright, all you Joey fans, we have great news! Joey is a big boy now who only pees when he wants to! Like many of us, he might have a tiny tinkle of a drop or two when he gets excited or startled (or sneezes. That happens to everyone, right?), but it’s so little, we only spot it because we’re looking closely for it.
Joey has, as hoped, slowly gained more and more bladder control over time, to the point that he can lead a normal little doggie life without even the need for any medication. We are so, so proud of him, happy for him, and grateful to all the people who believed in him and cheered him on. Much love in particular to Dr. Debbie and the lovely Steph 💕
This handsome boy is officially up for grabs again. He has grown up into an excited, obedient, and affectionate lovebug with the softest, fluffiest coat that just happens to be perfect for cuddles...his second favorite pastime. (Food will always be first.)
Update:
Uh oh! Joey has a slight issue in the wee wee department. He just can't seem to hold it! He has started medication to help him along, but for now, he's stuck with us. We're pretty okay with that ❤️
Once his issue is solved, he will be available for adoption again!
Or, if his issue turns out to be unsolvable, he will be available to a loving and understanding home along with a few dozen washable male doggie diapers called "belly bands". Dreamy will show him the ropes so we can send him home fully trained to assume the position during diaper changes.
Until then, the happy little piddle boy is ours to love and treasure for as long as necessary.
For life, if need be.
We're also very okay with that ❤️

Joey, now affectionately called Fat Joey, is such a clown. He almost always has milk coming out of his nose because his absolute favorite thing to do is eat. He also is playful and sassy. This jolly little guy is going to make an excellent little buddy for someone wanting a sturdy best friend to celebrate the finer things in life with - scratchies and good food.
