This little guy traveled all the way to Alaska! His momma just had to have him so she made the trip to the contiguous United States in order to scoop up the little man. What a little adventure he is on. We are told he never cries or potties in his crate, eats well, and loves his boxer big brother! His new name is so interesting and the story behind it is one we asked if we could share. His sweet momma has gone thru a lot. She lost her sister to cancer and then 4 months later she lost her dear son to ALS - a truly awful and unfair disease. She misses her son dearly and recalls how she used to call him Brian the Lion after one of his favorite fictional characters. She didnt know where the name Ari came from but recognized that Leo means lion in Latin - a happy coincidence or perhaps what drew her to little "Leo" from the start. After selecting the new name Ari, she wondered why and did some research. Turns out Ari also means lion in Scandinavian! What's stranger still is it also means eagle and her lost sister loved eagles.
That's too many coincidences for us. We think perhaps little Ari/Leo was sent to comfort his momma with love and blessings from her lost loved ones. He has brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart. We couldn't be happier about that.
Leo comes from champion lines and is very tiny with a projected adult weights of just 3.5lbs. He is still very young so that estimate is subject to change as he grows up but he will certainly be very small. His little personality is still blossoming but we can't wait to see what kind of pup he turns out to be!
