Winson (formerly Loki) found the perfect home with Alexis and her chihuahua pug mix named Rupert. We are thrilled that this playful little guy will have a big brother to play with and a devoted mom to adore him - tail and all. She said she didn't even think they weren't supposed to have tails. We don't think that either which is why we want to see happy little tails here to stay. It's everything we hoped he would find.
Wag away, little Winston!
Loki is a very special boy. We have been trying to move away from the outdated practice of docking tails. We have been testing leaving tails on a few pups here and there to see if people will love and accept them they way they are. Dogs use their tails for communication and balance. Just look how he uses it to stay upright while tumbling through the air at puppy playtime. Removing it for purely aesthetic purposes is like amputating a limb just because we think it looks better that way. We disagree and we would like to be part of making a change. If you feel the same way, consider adopting Loki or one of our other happy little tail havers :)
We would like to leave docking tails in the past. Unfortunately, because of his tail, we have had a really hard time finding Loki a home. He is a beautiful and small purebred toy yorkie pup and is a steal at this price for the right owner. He has a date today, Valentine's Day, with the vet to be neutered and will be ready to go home next week. Early neutering prevents the development of any marking behaviors. He will have all his shots except for rabies and now he just needs a human to love him as much as he will love them.
